libdigest-hmac-perl software package provides module for creating standard message integrity checks, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdigest-hmac-perl
libdigest-hmac-perl is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdigest-hmac-perl package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdigest-hmac-perl *
You will get with libdigest-hmac-perl package name, version, architecture and description in a table
